Jennifer & Robbie

I had the pleasure to be a part of a wedding for two special friends last week. I think their story is even more special. It seems many of us wait for that soul mate best friend connection, sometimes all our lives. Jennifer and Robbie were no different. They are on their 40's, had been married with children before. They hoped one day they would meet the person they were meant to be with....but wait, they had already met. You see, Robbie and Jennifer's love story began years earlier while they were in middle school. They never dated each other before but, they did have crushes on each other. For whatever reason, they never became more then friends. After school, they went their separate ways. They had families with other people and those marriages didn't work out like so many others today. I can't help but wonder if they were meant to be in bad relationships to truly appreciate each other now? I'm sure they may sometimes wonder what would have happened had they connected while they were younger? But, I am a firm believer that certain things must happen to help us grow and figure out who we are. Once we know who we are we are then able to find love like we are meant to have. I believe Jennifer & Robbie have found that kind of love. The ceremony was very small with just a few close friends. But, once you see the images I'm sure you will agree they were destined to be together. To my friends Jennifer & Robbie, may you always show this kind of love to each other and never take the other for granted. If the other ever disappoints you come back and look at your faces or better yet look at your wedding images often so you never forget how you felt on May 11, 2017.
